These Chocolate Cream Cheese Bars combine 2 great ingredients: cream cheese and chocolate. It’s an easy and quick recipe that only requires a quick mixture of cake mix, egg, and oil, hand stirred for the crust. The filling is rich with chocolate chips and cream cheese, along with sour cream as the main ingredients.
Makes 24 Chocolate Cream Cheese Bars
1 package chocolate cake mix
1/3rd cup vegetable oil
1 cup sour cream
1 Cup semisweet chocolate chips, melted and cooled slightly
1 cup white chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 13 by 9 inch glass baking dish with nonstick cooking spray
Combine cake mix, oil and one egg in medium bowl. Mix well. Press into bottom of prepared baking dish. Bake 10 minutes or until set. Cool in baking dish on wire rack.
Meanwhile, beat cream cheese in large bowl with electric mixer at high speed until light and fluffy. Add remaining 2 eggs and sugar. Beat at medium speed until well blended. Beat in sour cream and melted chocolate until blended. Pour over crust. Sprinkle with white chocolate chips.
Bake 50 minutes or until set. Cool completely in baking dish on wire rack. Refrigerate 4 hours before serving.
